Top Ten Goals/Resolutions for 2015—bookish, blogging, or otherwise:


1.
Finish the reading challenges I am in this year.
For the past few years, I have been slacking on my reading and all the challenges that I participate in. For a while, it was because of college. Then it was because I was working in a warehouse with crazy hours and always exhausted. That changes this year! With being in an office setting now and normal hours with a normal lunch break, I can finally breathe again. I’ve been slowly getting back into a great reading routine and I plan on it being even better in the coming year.

2. Write more and more often.
The past couple years I have written the most I have in a long time. I almost even conquered NaNoWriMo. But, I have yet to finish a NaNo. This year that also changes. I want to be able to finish one of my manuscripts and have it ready to send out to agents by the end of this upcoming year. I know that this is what I was meant to do. And by gone it, I am going to accomplish this!
3. Cut back on smoking or quit completely.
My boyfriend is in the transition of being almost completely done with smoking all together and I couldn’t be more proud of him. This year, I think I am going to drastically cut back and save it for when I’m drinking. Just thinking about saving that money that I could use on more books, just makes it all the better.

4. Start working out.
I really need to start taking care of my body. I’m not overweight in any account but I also eat a lot of junk food and don’t do anything to counteract with that. I need to do some serious cardio and yoga and get myself back into shape. I want to be as healthy as I possibly can.
5. Put more healthy choices in my diet.
I eat fairly healthy. But I could use more fruits and veggies in my daily eating habits. So, I plan on picking out more healthy choices when I snack. (Unless I’m on my period because I wouldn’t want to mess with that bitch ;P)
6. Read 3 books off my TBR books that I own before buying more books.
This is rather specific. But since I have so many books on my shelves that have not been read, I’d like to ban myself a little bit by making sure that I read at least 3 books off my shelf before buying another book or two. I think this might help.
7. Blog more and more often.
This goes along with the writing one. But I love the blogging community. I think that it is such a great community and I want to be a better blogger within our community.
8. Comment more.
This goes along with being a better blogger. Everyone likes to see foot traffic on their blog and I feel like not everyone gets enough. I know I’d like to see more comments on my posts but in order to do that I need to be more active in the blogosphere. I feel like the only time I see a huge amount of comments is when I have a giveaway, which is fine. But that probably happens with a lot of bloggers and I’d like to help change that.

  1. I can definitely agree with your bookish resolutions. I quit smoking 6 1/2 years ago. I reached a point where I just had enough. I used the patch, kept dum dum lollipops and pretzel sticks handy and…took a few days off work. I did it though and never looked back. Good luck! Happy New Year!
