Secret Santa:6 Books That I Liked More Than I Thought I Would (Surprise!)
I wasn’t sure how I was going to like this one because I’m not very big into werewolves, but it surprised me and I ended up enjoying it more than I thought I would.
I really wasn’t sure about this one when I first picked it up because I loved the first one so much that when I heard this one didn’t follow the same characters, I was really hurt because I fell in love with those characters. I pushed through it though and I ended up really liking this one!
I was iffy going into this one because of it being dystopian. When I started this, my heart just wasn’t with dystopians and I wasn’t sure how Amy Engel would be able to pull off something unique in an overly saturated genre, but the synopsis really had me wanting to read it, so I did and it surprised me so much!
I was worried going into this one because I heard a lot of people find this one to be their least favorite and I am so glad that I didn’t let that stop me because this one ended up not being my least favorite and I just fell in love with Isla <3
This one I only started because I heard it was being made into a TV show and I wanted to read it before I watched the show. Prior to that, I had NO intention of reading this one because of all the hype surrounding it and because there are SO many books in this universe. But I am so glad I did because it shocked me how much I fell in love with the story!
This one worried me because I may be a book nerd but that’s about the extent of my nerdiness. I like video games but I never really played them other than Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart, or the Gameboy Pokemon games. I was worried I wasn’t going to understand the book. Plus, so many people didn’t like this one because they read Ready Player One first. Well, I’m glad I read this one. I was able to get most of the references. Some of the references, I ended up asking my hubby about because I wanted to know what they were but it didn’t take away from my reading experience and I really, really liked this!
Let’s Talk About It!
