Books Sophia Would Never Save In An Apocalypse (Even If Her Life Depended On It?)

Hello again!

Several weeks ago – okay, nearly a month – I revealed some of the books I would save in an apocalypse. This time around, I’m doing the exact opposite – I’m revealing a list of some books I wouldn’t save in an apocalypse for the life of me (there are far more books than this). Either that, or they’ll be the very first to be used as ammunition. If you’re an author and see your book on this list, it’s nothing personal, I promise!

I know I mentioned posting this at Bookwyrming Thoughts, but then I changed my mind. Too many discussion posts going on over there already, with the addition to Novel Newcomers (I can never go on a legit blogging. Whoops.

by Rick Yancey
Realistic as she may be, I cannot stand Cassie. Enough said.

by Lauren Oliver
Eh… great concept. Not so great execution and I personally think it’s over-hyped.

by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I know, I know, I know! I’m going to be on every hate list now! I love the idea and I enjoyed the first book, but the second book just didn’t go well with me.

This one is quite famous in my college essays. Bad formatting, the MC thinks about a particular guy too much, and a poor villain to boot.

In fact… I think that was my exact wording on the essay (I did write out MC, though).

Trying too hard to be a classic (it looks like it even if not intentional). Descriptions are excruciatingly long. I, however, adore the covers to the books published in the series thus far. I’m disappointed to have to use this as zombie ward off. Maybe I’ll save this one for last.

Yet another infamous book in my essays. It was an action-packed backfire.

by Bethany Griffin
Too confusing of a retelling.

by Julie Kagawa
I love Julie Kagawa’s books and all, but this totally fell far from my favorite apple tree.

Fractured Dream by K.M. Randall
Uh… it was awkward….

1984 by George Orwell
Just as awkward if not more awkward.

Wait. Fractured Dream was more awkward.

Hello, I Love You by Katie M. Stout
What an embarrassment.

What books would you use as ammunition never save in the apocalypse? Any books that we share in common? Leave your thoughts in the comments below! ^_^
