Top Ten Thirteen Series That I Need To Desperately Finish or Start and Then Finish!
(not including books that haven’t been published yet!)
Mara Dyer Trilogy – Michelle Hodkin
I read and loved The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, dove immediately into The Evolution of Mara Dyer and then had to wait for the The Retribution of Mara Dyer to come out, went to Barnes and Noble to buy it on release day and have yet to pick it up to finish the series. I honestly think I’m just scared to finish this one… I mean book 2 was a total mind fuck, and I have heard that book 3 is even more so! But I’m dying to know what happens!
Shadow Falls Series – C.C. Hunter
I read and loved Born at Midnight and then immediately bought all the books available in the series. Now that they’re all out and even have a spin-off series for it… I have yet to get past book 1. So, I think it’s time for a reread of book 1 and finish this damn series because I’ve heard it’s great!
Bloodlines Series – Richelle Mead
I read and loved The Vampire Academy series by Richelle and I am happy how it ended, even though I was always Team Adrian. Knowing that Adrian is a main character in this series makes me need to read this series soon! Especially now that all the books are out! (I wish TVA and Bloodlines had better covers though!)
Daughter of Smoke and Bone Trilogy – Laini Taylor
I loved the beautiful writing within Daughter of Smoke and Bone and cannot wait to dive back into the beauty of it! This needs to happen really soon!
Harry Potter Series – JK Rowling
I know, I know.. I am probably the last human being to read this series. I read the first one back when it came out but it just didn’t keep my interests back then. But then again, I was young and naive. So, I need to get to this soon! I have a feeling I will love it!
The Grisha Trilogy – Leigh Bardugo
I read Shadow and Bone last year and really enjoyed it. Now I just need to get my hands on the rest of the trilogy and finish it! And then obviously get to Six of Crows, which I’ve heard even more great things about!
The Mortal Instruments – Cassandra Clare
I read the first 3 and I feel like the third one wraps this series up so well that I’ve had a hard time getting to book 4. However, I know I have to finish this series before I start Lady Midnight.. so it needs to happen already!
The Infernal Devices – Cassandra Clare
I love love love love love the first 2 books in this trilogy and I need to finish the third one! So far, this series is so much better than The Mortal Instruments, in my opinion. I just know that I will most likely end up crying at the end of this series!
The Lunar Chronicles – Marissa Meyer
I know, why haven’t I finished this one yet?! I love the first 3 books. But this is my problem with series… when it comes to the last book, I don’t want to see it end.. But I hear Winter is AMAZING! So, I really need to read Winter this year!
Rebel Belle Series – Rachel Hawkins
I read and loved her Hex Hall series (and am actually dying for a reread of that series) and earlier this year I read and loved Rebel Belle and now I have the rest of this series and I just need to finish it!

Mythos Academy – Jennifer Estep
A few years ago, I read and loved Touch of Frost and reviewed it over at Bookish Lifestyle when I was a blogger over there. I desperately need a reread of Touch of Frost and then finish off the series!
Starbound Series – Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner
Here we are with the dreaded 3rd/final book in a series again. I loved These Broken Stars and This Shattered World! I just need to suck it up and read Their Fractured Light, pronto!
The Sweet Series – Wendy Higgins
I’m late to this series too, I read and loved Sweet Evil last year and I need some more Kai in my life!!

So many great choices!!! I’ve read through the 4th Mortal Instruments. Infernal Devices is definitely better in my opinion. I still need to read the last Mythos book. I don’t want it to end. I’ve only read Bloodlines and haven’t finished the rest of that series. Team Adrian all the way!!!!

I’ve started and haven’t finished so many series, so I definitely relate to this topic. I’ve started and need to finish the Shadow Falls series, The Mortal Instruments, and Starbound series. I also need to finish Vampire Academy so I can start the spin off. Hope you finish them soon!

I love the Harry Potter series! Hope you enjoy it! I’ve read the first book in The Lunar Chronicles series and didn’t love it but I’m going to try the second one and see if I enjoy it more. I also have yet to start the Daughter of Smoke and Bone and Mara Dyer series, I have the first books in each but haven’t read them yet!
