For the past decade or so, I had been living with a horrible desk. Not that it didn’t do it’s job or have a ton of storage, but it was designed for a different time (not to mention it didn’t match any of my other furniture). So, armed with money I probably shouldn’t be spending and a GPS with directions to IKEA, I decided that I was buying myself a new desk.

Ten Seven Books Set In Boarding/Private Schools (Back To School Freebie)
Harry Potter obviously has to be on this list! I mean who doesn’t want Hogwarts to be real?
I will always, always, always recommend Vampire Academy! What makes it even better? It’s set in a boarding school! 🙂
This is one of my favorite series. It may not have the most beautiful writing or the most profound/inspirational what have you. But this is all around a FUN series. I loved this series because of how fun it was!
You can’t talk about boarding schools an leave off the companion series of Anna and the French Kiss. Stephanie Perkins nails it with sweet contemporary romance set in a boarding school in France. Simply perfection!
This is a fun series that deals with a boarding school filled with mythological creatures, characters, etc. I have only read the first book, but I am dying to finish this series!
The Shadow Falls series starts off with a camp in the first book, but I have been told that it becomes a school in the later books. This is another series that I desperately need to finish, but I definitely need to reread book 1. All I remember is that I loved it!
I have a soft spot for Gossip Girl. I read it when I was in high school. It takes place in New York City and a private school. I read about half of this series, but I have the entire series and really wouldn’t mind rereading it! It’s definitely a guilty pleasure of mine! 🙂
What’s on your top ten this week? And have you read any of these? What books have I missed that deal with boarding schools or private schools? I definitely LOVE reading those kind of books, so send me all the recs! <3
If you read my King Slayer review, then you might remember me mentioned just how much I love Fifer and Schuyler. So, it stands to reason that I was definitely counting down the days until The Chase released. And boy, was it satisfying. I loved getting inside Fifer and Schuyler’s heads, and their connection was […]
My Thoughts Okay this is one book that is going to be super hard to review. Not because it’s confusing. But because I don’t want to give anything away. This is a story told in 3 perspectives. Wink, is a weird redheaded girl, who comes from a strange family. Poppy, a gorgeous blonde who is […]
I don’t often read life advice books. For whatever reason, this little book stuck out to me during a visit to my local library. So, I checked it out. Two days later, I was completely redoing all my clothing drawers and closet layout. In that sense, the book did its job. In other senses, it […]
My Thoughts I really loved this book! I wish there were more books like this. You know the ones where the main character is a book blogger. Or the main character’s parent is an author. Or a book that its setting takes place mostly in a bookstore called Murder By The Sea. Or a romance […]
What a way to end a series. I absolutely adored The Witch Hunter, and The King Slayer did not disappoint. I successfully avoided my responsibilities and read it in a day…and it was totally worth it. As always, the characters are incredible and watching them change throughout this duology was a joy. We see characters […]

My Thoughts I really enjoyed this book because it reminded me so much of a futuristic Gossip Girl story. And I love Gossip Girl! I like how this story started with the end: a girl falling off the 1000th floor on the Tower. I like the mystery behind it and how we don’t know who […]
