Top Ten Books On My Winter 2019-2020 TBR
**Book Covers are linked to the Goodreads pages and the written out titles are linked to the review from In Wonderland**
Dreaming of You by Lisa Kleypas, Born In Ice by Nora Roberts, and Dark Lover by J.R. Ward
Earlier this year, I started listening to the Fated Mates podcast and started to read the paranormal romance series Immortals After Dark by Kresley Cole. I fell in love with the way that Sarah and Jen go about this podcast and even though I haven’t finished the Immortals After Dark series, I am continuing to join in the fun with this podcast and catch up with this seasons picks and hopefully in 2020 I’ll finish the Immortals After Dark series as well. As for season 2, it starts off with Dreaming Of You by Lisa Kleypas and they’ve read and discussed a total of 6 books –including Dark Lover by J.R. Ward– and are coming back January 1st with Born In Ice by Nora Roberts. I’m very excited for these 3 books for season 2 and am planning on reading them this winter! And if I’m lucky the other 4 books as well they’ve already discussed for season 2.
If you’re a romance reader and love podcasts you really need to check out Fated Mates. It’s brilliant.
A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
I started this book earlier this year and I’ve just been taking my time with it. But I think it’s about time to finish book one and hopefully get to book 2. I fell in love with the TV series on Sundance and cannot wait until there is more!
The Wives by Tarryn Fisher
This was my BOTM pick for December and I’m excited to read it. The only thing I’ve read by Tarryn Fisher was the Never Never series she wrote with Colleen Hoover. I’m excited to read something from just her.
The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell
This was another pick of mine for BOTM and I’m really intrigued by this one! I’m hoping to pick it up this winter and devour it!
How The Dukes Stole Christmas by Tessa Dare, Sarah MacLean, Sophie Jordan, & Joanna Shupe
2019 was the year that I read a shit ton of romance and quite a bit of those romances were historical romances. I’ve fallen in love with Tessa Dare and Sarah MacLean and I’m definitely interested in this anthology and experience a bit of Sophie and Joanna’s writing as well. Plus, I think I’ll have fun reading this during Christmas week when I’m off work
The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield
I picked this up at my local Half Price Books a couple years ago and I’m super intrigued by the storyline. I’m hoping to tackle this one this winter. Have any of you read this?
The Clockmaker’s Daughter by Kate Morton
I’ve been wanting to read a Kate Morton book for some time now and when better to start than this winter?
In The Woods by Tana French
One of my best friends has been trying to get me to read Tana French and her novels for a long time now. And I just found out that Starz recently just made a show about this series and I really want to watch it, so I’m going to try to tackle the first book this winter!
Let’s Talk About It!
