Happy New Year my loves!
It has been entirely WAY too long since I last blogged. And as much as I think I needed to be away from it, I’ve missed it so much. I miss gushing about the books I’m reading or wanting. And I miss talking about my writing and what’s going on with it. But, a goal of mine in 2019 is to get back to blogging. But this also means that I am revamping a bit. I want to make this blog fun again. So, most of the reviews that I will have will most likely be mini reviews or turned into discussions or lists on what I liked and didn’t like. I’m also not going to be geared towards just YA. I’m definitely bringing some adult content as well. I’ve been on a huge romance and historical romance kick lately and I want that to join my lineup! I’m planning on adding A LOT more writing posts. And obviously, I will still be participating in Top Ten Tuesday and possibly other memes like a Five Fave Friday, and maybe others. I also plan to bring more TV shows into the mix too. I’m basically still going to have mostly bookish/writing topics with a hint of lifestyle/fangirl sprinkled throughout. I just feel like that’s more me. The majority of me is books and writing but there is so much more to my life than that and I want to bring those more into the blog as well.
How my 2018 went:
My original Goodreads goal was 100 and then I changed it to 80 and then in early December when I realized I wasn’t going to make it to 80, I changed it to 60 and I came SO close to completing that this year.
So, overall, my 2018 reading year wasn’t horrible. But it wasn’t as spectacular as I was hoping for. I fell flat on keeping up with my blogging and my writing in 2018 because I was just swamped and by the time I got home from work, I was exhausted.
But 2019 will be better.
I haven’t decided if I am going to participate in any genre/blogger challenges this year. But I did already set up my 2019 reading challenge on Goodreads. Instead of putting 100 as my goal like I have for the past few years. I’ve decided to do a random number generator with the minimum of 1 and the max of 100 and it gave me:
I really didn’t get a chance to update what challenges I actually succeeded with in 2018 because like I said earlier, I really fell off the boat with it in 2018. But I hope to do so much better in 2019. So, without further adieu, I hope you all had a wonderful New Year and I’d love to hear what your goals are for 2019!
