For those of you who don’t know what BTTA is, here’s the lowdown: It’s short for Blogs To Talk About. For whoever is interested can e-mail me at and in the subject put BTTA or Blogs To Talk About, and in the message put your name and a link to your blog for me to check it out. Then I will contact you and send you a list of questions and when you respond I will set up a post. So, if you are interested in it, send me an e-mail! For past BTTAs go HERE

I have gotten my very first BTTA interview! I’m super stoked because I love getting to know other book bloggers! It’s a great way to make new friends and get to know the blogger behind the blog! -xo

Name: Megan

Age: 16
Blog Name: The Book Babe

What’s the story behind the blog name?
This one’s easy– I wanted a blog name that could make me anonymous. Quite honestly, it was originally Books to Love (And Read!), but I thought that it was a horrid name, so with the help of a fellow favorite book blogger, I changed it to “The Book Babe”, because that was my posting name. But then I got Google +, because I was absolutely DYING to see who 1+ ed my posts, and it became Megan TheBookBabe. I think that anonymity was a book part of it. So, it’s basically because it was cute. 😉
Why did you start to book blog and how long have you been book blogging?
Hmm. That’s actually a hard question. I think that it was all about books– I LOVE books. I want to share my love of books with other people– but the best part isn’t really what I thought. I mean, getting free books is an AMAZING feeling, but it’s not the best part. The best part is the interaction. Some bloggers are absolutely FANTABULOUS. I’ve been blogging for almost a year.
Where is your favorite place to read?
In my room. I also occasionally read while walking down the street, but people give me funny looks when I do that, so mostly my room.
E-book or Hardcopy? Why?
Hardcopy. I simply don’t have the patience to read E-books at all. I’m a really fidgety reader, so hardcopies are the only thing that work for me.
Favorite book of all-time and why?
OOOOH. Why on EARTH would you ask me that question??? I don’t really know. I absolutely LOVE The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen, and The DUFF by Kody Keplinger, Forget You and Going too Far by Jennifer Echols, Kill Me Softly by Sarah Cross, Divergent by Veronica Roth, My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick…I think you might want me to stop now. 😉
Do you have any blogs/bloggers that you look up to or that inspire you (feel free to name-drop)?
ABSOLUTELY! Some of my favorite bloggers include Inky from Book Haven Extraordinaire, Cheyenne from {This Girl Reads}, Katie from Call Me Crazy Reviews, and others, but I don’t know all of them as well! (:
What do you like to do in your free time?
READ. I don’t actually have very much free time– I run a blog tour site (a business!), blog at my own personal blog, so I have to read enough to crank out reviews, format them, and make my blog prettiful, but I also have to work, and I have a pickup that I’m working on…I don’t have much free time, but reading’s great. So are movies! Oh, and commenting on other blogs takes a lot of time. (:
Name a dessert, a color, a drink?
Apple cobbler, Purple, Dr. Pepper.
If you could be one character, who would you be and why?
Ooh. This is different than the question I usually get asked. This is hard! TRIS FROM DIVERGENT. It would be fabulous to be her, don’t you think?? I think that I’d like being Dauntless…I do a lot of stupid stuff in general. Haven’t been to the E.R. for a while, though! 😉
How many books (on average) do you read a month?
What are your favorite book-to-movie adaptations? Why?
LotR. I think that this movie did the absolute best job. The movies were better than the books– where the book was so detailed that it bored me to DEATH, the movie did a good job of HAVING all of those details. I watch the extended, of course.
Do you have any book boyfriends? If so, name them and explain why?
Doug Fox. He is one smexi beast, LOL. He’s so very sweet in the book he stars in, and I think that I could honestly have a great relationship with someone like him. ANY GIRL COULD.
Wesley Rush. He’s so full of himself, but…sigh. He’s also a sweetheart. And almost every girl who reads his book has a crush– we can’t help it!
Noah Hutchins. Sigh. He’s such a bad a**. And he loves Echo so hard– AWWW.
Name 5 books that everyone should at least read once:
CRANK by Ellen Hopkins
The DUFF by Kody Keplinger
My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen
Vibes by Amy Kathleen Ryan
What is your dream job?
Librarian. TOTALLY. Once I get a running vehicle, that’s right where I’m going– I need another job.
What book are you most looking forward to reading?
So MANY. Scarlet by Marrissa Meyer is probably the one that comes out the soonest– it sounds FABULOUS.
Anywho, thanks for having me, Steph! Your blog is gorgeous, and I’m so glad to have been here with you as the first feature on BTTA. I hope that your follower counts and stats reach the sky, and that you read some amazing books this year.

Megan, it was SO great getting to know you through these questions! Thanks so much for being the first one to participate in this event! I just have to get my hands on some of the books you mentioned! xo

Well, there you have it… my first BTTA interview! Hope you all enjoyed Megan’s answered and I hope you will all go check her blog out, it’s simply fantastic!
