Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Every Tuesday there is a different bookish top ten list. Join in on the fun!
Top Ten Books I’d Love To Read With My Books Club/If I Had A Book Club:
1. The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
This one I think I’d need people reading it with me so I can talk about it with them. I already know that it’s going to fuck with my mind and I think it’d be really cool to read with other people and talk about what the series did to us. Plus there is SO much to talk about! I think there could be some AWESOME discussions on this book.
2. Allegiant by Veronica Roth
This one. Oh, this one I know is going to tug at my heart strings. I already know what happens, because I have seen a lot of spoilers for it. I’m not sure if that’s why it is still sitting on my shelf or what. But, I feel like to get through this one, I NEED PEOPLE TO TALK/VENT WITH. Hands down.
3. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
I love this book so far and there’s so much to talk about in it that I think it’d be a great book club pick!
4. Great by Sara Benincasa
This one would be fun because it is a modern day version of The Great Gatsby. And The Great Gatsby is one of my all-time favorite novels.
5. Any of The Lunar Chronicles books by Marissa Meyer
SO MUCH TO DISCUSS! Oh, and Thorne. šŸ™‚
6. Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
It’s a classic. šŸ™‚ And who doesn’t want to talk about Darcy?
7. Kill Me Softly by Sarah Cross
It’s a really neat concept and I think it’d be a lot of fun to discuss this book.
8. Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira
I know that there are SO MANY FEELS in this book. I haven’t read it yet. But everyone I’ve talked to have said that they’ve cried.
9. The Jane Austen Book Club by Karen Joy Fowler
It’s already about a book club and I think it’d be fun.
10. My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult
I cried like a baby when I first read this book. And I think that some very thought provoking discussions could come out of this book.
What’s on your top ten this week?

  1. I still need to read the Mara Dyer series, but it would be fun to do it with a book club. I wouldn't have thought about Great, but that's a great choice! It's funny, I've read so many retellings of Pride and Prejudice but I've never read the original! Love Letters to the Dead is great choice, too. Awesome list, I'd join your book club!

  2. You have to read the Mara Dyer series! It's an absolute must! (I'm seriously pushing it on like everyone, haha) And I haven't read Great yet, but it would be fantastic! As for Pride & Prejudice, get on that! Jane Austen was amazing!

You know, I've never been a part of a book club. Maybe I should change that?

  3. Some friends and I tried a book club last winter but every time we set a date to get together for discussion it snowed. It became ridiculous because. I think spring is a better time to start one.
