The Luck of the Bookish (Stephanie)

In the spirit of St. Patrick’s day, the girls and I thought it would be fun to put on a little mini-series of posts. Basically, we are here to answer one very pressing question: if you knew that the Leprechaun at the end of the rainbow was holding one book: ARC, published, special edition, signed, different language, and you had to fight him for it. What book would that be?

I personally couldn’t decide between 2 books. So I will highlight 2 of the many, many books that I desperately want/need in my hands right now! 🙂

Stay on the roads. Don’t enter the woods. Never go out at night.
Those are the rules in Rowan’s Glen, a remote farming community in the Missouri Ozarks where Ivy Templeton’s family has lived for centuries. It’s an old-fashioned way of life, full of superstition and traditions, and sixteen-year-old Ivy loves it. The other kids at school may think the Glen kids are weird, but Ivy doesn’t care—she has her cousin Heather as her best friend. The two girls share everything with each other—or so Ivy thinks. When Heather goes missing after a May Day celebration, Ivy discovers that both her best friend and her beloved hometown are as full of secrets as the woods that surround them.

She also meets her fellow sorcerer trainees, handsome young men eager to test her power and her heart. One will challenge her. One will fight for her. One will betray her.
But Henrietta Howel is not the chosen one.As she plays a dangerous game of deception, she discovers that the sorcerers have their own secrets to protect. With battle looming, what does it mean to not be the one? And how much will she risk to save the city--and the one she loves?
Exhilarating and gripping, Jessica Cluess's spellbinding fantasy introduces Henrietta Howel, a powerful, unforgettable heroine, and an entertaining world filled with magic, monsters, and mayhem.

Why I Want Them?

I want The May Queen Murders because it sounds amazing and I am in need of a great mystery/thriller! I want A Shadow Bright and Burning because it sounds so interesting and different and I have extreme grabby hands for these 2 books!

How Would I Fight For Them?

Well, I’d fight him with my fists of course! How else do the Irish do it? With alcohol and fists! 🙂

Let’s Talk About It!

What book(s) would you fight the Leprechaun for? Leave your thoughts in the comments! 🙂
