These Royals will ruin you…
From wharf fights and school brawls to crumbling lives inside glittery mansions, one guy tries to save himself.
Reed Royal has it all—looks, status, money. The girls at his elite prep school line up to date him, the guys want to be him, but Reed never gave a damn about anyone but his family until Ella Harper walked into his life.
What started off as burning resentment and the need to make his father’s new ward suffer turned into something else entirely—keep Ella close. Keep Ella safe. But when one foolish mistake drives her out of Reed’s arms and brings chaos to the Royal household, Reed’s entire world begins to fall apart around him.
Ella doesn’t want him anymore. She says they’ll only destroy each other.
She might be right.
Secrets. Betrayal. Enemies. It’s like nothing Reed has ever dealt with before, and if he’s going to win back his princess, he’ll need to prove himself Royally worthy.

My Thoughts

First things first. I love how addicting this series is! If you have read it yet, go check out my review for Book 1 here!

We got to know the Royals even more and I have to say I really love this family. Oh Reed, how I adore you! <3 I also really love Ella! She’s fierce and independent and sticks up for the little people and I really love that about her. In this book we see even more growth in all of the characters and it’s really nice.

I hate Brooke! She drives me insane and by the end of this novel I was so shocked! There are two distinct things that happen at the end of this novel and it’s just like WTF?!

I will say that I liked book 1 more than book 2, but I was not disappointed by this novel at all! I cannot wait to find out what happens in the final installment!

Sorry for the short and sweet review but I don’t want to put spoilers up! 🙂

From strip clubs and truck stops to southern coast mansions and prep schools, one girl tries to stay true to herself.
These Royals will ruin you…
Ella Harper is a survivor—a pragmatic optimist. She’s spent her whole life moving from town to town with her flighty mother, struggling to make ends meet and believing that someday she’ll climb out of the gutter. After her mother’s death, Ella is truly alone.
Until Callum Royal appears, plucking Ella out of poverty and tossing her into his posh mansion among his five sons who all hate her. Each Royal boy is more magnetic than the last, but none as captivating as Reed Royal, the boy who is determined to send her back to the slums she came from.
Reed doesn’t want her. He says she doesn’t belong with the Royals.
He might be right.
Wealth. Excess. Deception. It’s like nothing Ella has ever experienced, and if she’s going to survive her time in the Royal palace, she’ll need to learn to issue her own Royal decrees.

My Thoughts

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It got me out of a vast slump I was in. And I have Dana to thank for it. She had read this and mentioned it to me and it sounded awesome so I bought the entire series on my kindle and devoured Paper Princess, book 1, within two sittings!

This book had a lot going in it. It’s about a teenage girl, Ella, who lost her mom to cancer and was struggling to make ends meet. So she stole her mom’s ID and started working at strip clubs in order to pay for her schooling (high school), bills, food, and a crappy apartment. Then comes Callum Royal who claims he’s her guardian because her biological father had died. So he whisks her away and makes a deal with her for her to stay with him and his five sons.

I loved that this wasn’t just your ordinary contemporary romance fluff. Which, don’t get me wrong, I love that too. But this had depth. It felt real because it could be real. It was edgy and raw and downright awesome.

I love Ella as a character, we see a lot of growth within her and by the end of the book you feel for her and for what she’s going through. I loved getting to know each of the Royal boys. Especially Reed and Easton. And I thought the twins were hysterical. And the romance that finally starts to happen between Ella and Reed is just so yummy.

If you’re in the mood for an edgy romance and a ride of a lifetime (because trust me once you finish book 1… you’ll dive quickly into books 2 and 3!) please pick this up by Erin Watt (a pseudonym for the duo: Elle Kennedy and Jen Frederick).

**Please note that this is NEW ADULT so there is stronger language and definitely more descriptive sexual language than your average YA novel**
